We'll meet at the Old School in Porokari, where our neighbours still gather to preserve the traditional Finnish räsymatto weaving tradition. This authentic cultural experience offers a rare opportunity to see handmade Finnish rugs being woven on a traditional wooden loom in the heart of Finnish Lapland. We'll sit down together over coffee, hear the stories behind this centuries-old Finnish weaving tradition and, if you'd like, weave a small section of the rug yourself using traditional techniques.
